  4. Reviewer Name: Aamina Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I think this book was fantastic. All the characters were funny but my favourite character was the Moon Hare because he was clever and dumb at the same time. I never quite liked the king because he was too fussy and never appreciated what he had. I think the girl was too spoilt and wanted everything , she wanted a dragon and her parents bought a dragon for her but when it arrived she never fed it or took it for a walk even though dragons fly. I would recommend this book 100/100 At the end I think the lesson was never ever have a pet dragon! Indicative Rating: 5/5
  5. Reviewer Name: Kimberley Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I would give this book four stars. It is about a girl that’s very bossy and she is asked and asking asking for a dragon. You can’t put it down when you get started, I had to sneak it into bed. The best book I have ever read. Indicative Rating: 4/5

  10. Reviewer Name: Raheema Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I think that the Magnificent Moon Hare was ok because it didn’t have that much action in it and I like books with a lot of action in it. My favourite character was the Moon Hare because he was very clever and always thought up the perfect plans, I also liked him because he stopped P.J from being so spoilt. My favourite part was when the king was hanging upside down because it sounded funny and it made me laugh. Indicative Rating: 3/5
  11. Reviewer Name: Aamina Reviewer Age: 9 Review: In the Magnificent Moon Hare my favourite characters are the Moon Hare, P.J and Sandara the dragon. They are my favourite characters because Sandara wants a sponge cake with blue icing on top of it. I also like the moon hare because he says his name is CrampyFlampyPuff and also like P.J because first she wants a dragon then she doesn’t. They all lived in a huge house that`s how Sandra can fit inside it. I would recommend this book to people who laugh a lot. My rating is 10 out of 10. Indicative Rating: 5/5
  12. Reviewer Name: Ayman Reviewer Age: 9 Review: I think this book was quite funny and interesting. My favourite part was when the moon hare was talking and P.G thought that he was on the moon. I also like the part where King Rupert had sent a letter that said we need the Queen back or else I’ll chop King Winston’s head off. It was actually quite funny. I think everybody would like this book so I give it definitely 10/10. It was the best read ever. Who would ever disagree with this? The way the moon hare spoke was really funny it was unbelievable. I think 7-13 year olds would enjoy this book. Indicative Rating: 5/5
  13. Reviewer Name: Beth Reviewer Age: 11 Review: This book was rubbish because it was babyish and a bit strange. Indicative Rating: 1/5

Age-wise I’d recommend this book for children who really enjoy reading. I would also recommend this book for adults as well. My favourite character was the moon hare because at times he’s quite funny. My favourite part was when PJ and the moon hare fooled King Rupert by putting the chess piece in his pocket. But King Rupert kidnaps King Winstonand he’s going to get him executed by Darren. Why? Who’s going to save him? And whoever is going to save him will they get there in time? Have a read and find out.I would give this book ten out of ten because this book is totally my type and I couldn’t stop reading! Indicative Rating: 5/5

  18. Reviewer Name: Issie Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I really enjoyed this book because it had so much humour in it and also loved the characters. My favourite character was the moon hair because he was funny and liked to put objects down the stripy that he stole from PJ’s wardrobe. Also I liked PJ because she changed her attitude at the end of the book and became a better person. I would give this book 5/5 and I would recommend it to my friends. Indicative Rating: 5/5
  19. Reviewer Name: Harry Reviewer Age: 11 Review: The Magnificent Moon Hare was a book purposely written for a younger age range and it was quite childish and boring. The story was about a moon Hare who was sent on a quest to rescue King Winston from getting his head chopped off, but in my opinion, the story dragged on too long. At the start I was curious about what was going to happen but towards the end I lost all interest in the story. I enjoyed the fact parts of the text were written in italics. It was also written in different fonts and sizes. In the end I didn’t enjoy the book but someone around the age of 8 might not agree with me. In the end would rate the book 2/10. Indicative Rating: 2/5
  20. Reviewer Name: Archie Reviewer Age: 11 Review: The book The Magnificent Moon Hare was a tad too young for me. That’s probably why I couldn’t get into it. The stroppy princess, talking animals and the story line weren’t my thing. However I did like the use of font changing to emphasise points and the drawings were very well drawn. Another reason why I didn’t enjoy the book was because the story itself was too predictable for my liking and I like books that keep you on the the edge of your seat and this book didn’t provide that. The story line was too simple with not enough problems throughout. It all comes down to opinion and some people will like this kind of story but it wasn’t my cup of tea. My little sister might have liked it but the literature would be too progressive. Overall I would give this book a 3/10 for its weaknesses. Indicative Rating: 3/5
  21. Reviewer Name: Hermione Reviewer Age: 9 Review: I really liked this story because it was simple and easy for me to read.It had pictures init so it felt like I was in the story. What I didn’t get was when they were showing who everyone was, because the Moon Hare was called different things on his body.It was really exiting when PJ got a dragon [called Sandra] because it was making a mess around the tidy castle! Sandra had purple scales. Sandra was a bit bad tempered, which is why he messed up the castle. What really made him bad tempered was that PJ called him Sandra when actually he was a boy! PJ, Moon Hare and Sandra all went to save the king [King Winston]. He could have had his head chopped off! My favorite character is the Moon Hare, because he is funny. In my opinion it’s a good book! Indicative Rating: 5/5
  22. Reviewer Name: Jack Reviewer Age: 10 Review: The book “The Magnificent Moon Hare” was a really good book, I found it a bit more childish than I expected. I think it dragged on a bit too much; I would not want to read it again. The part that was a bit funny was the moon hare collecting things in his stripy pants. The other funny part was the silly dragon having reading glasses. I do not know what marzipan is. I would recommend this book as an age limit of 5 to 8 and a rating of 2 out of 10. It is definitely not the best book in the world but it was not the worst. It was funny in some parts but the other parts were boring rescuing the king from getting his head chopped off dragged on too long. Indicative Rating: 2/5
  23. Reviewer Name: Logan Reviewer Age: 10 Review: My favourite character was the magnificent Moon Hare because of his entertaining names and also due to his extraordinary behaviour and P.J was as bossy and stubborn. The most dramatic part about the book was when P.J went to save her dad (the king). He was dangling down by a piece of rope and she had to cut the rope to rescue him and then they flew away on a dragon called Sandra. I would have preferred it if P.J wasn’t as bossy all the time. She was even bossy when she got her dad back. I enjoyed the book from start to finish. The Moon Hare went one night and then came back. P.J was surprised and gave him a big hug because she really wanted a Moon Hare and she did not want him to go and the Moon Hare said I want fun games and jokes and tricks and lots of fantastic stuff and with that, he gave the elastic on his green stripy tights a TWANG. Indicative Rating: 4/5
  24. Reviewer Name: Aneesa Reviewer Age: 10 Review: My favourite characters are the moon hare, Sandra the dragon and P.J (Petunia Joy.) I like the dragon because his passion is eating human flesh. In my opinion, the moon hare is hilarious because everything he finds, he puts into his pants and at the end his pants are so stuffed he can’t walk! P.J loves getting her own way. I recommend this book to the ones aged seven or over. Out of ten I would definitely rate this a ten. Indicative Rating: 5/5
  25. Reviewer Name: Aliyah Reviewer Age: 9 Review: I think this book was really funny. My favourite characters are the moon hare, P.J, Sandra the dragon and King Winston. I choose the moon hare because he is very funny and he likes to put things in his pants. I choose P.J because she is very bossy and she likes to get her own way. I choose Sandra the dragon because he is very funny and he likes to eat human flesh. I choose King Winston because he is very kind and he likes to play chess. I would recommend this book to people who like to laugh a lot. I would rate this book 10 out of 10. Indicative Rating: 5/5

  33. Reviewer Name: Tamina Reviewer Age: 10 Review: This book was interesting. My favourite characters are P.J, The Moon Hare and Sandra the dragon. P.J. Petulant likes presents, crisps and getting her own way. Sandra is a dragon but she really is a boy! It is very funny and I would recommend it for people who are into comedy. Children between 4-10 would love this book because my sister is 5 and she really enjoyed listening to me read it. Great job Sue Monroe! 9/10! Indicative Rating: 4.5/5

The Moon Hare comes one day to rescue the King from the other King by a little help from the dragon. The dragon and the Moon Hare knew each other. The moon hare goes back to the moon. 42. Reviewer Name: Cerri-Joanne Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I thought this book a very good book with plenty of detail. I liked it so much I went back to the library to see if they had the sequel. I found it and enjoyed it as much as the first one. I would have to say my favourite character is Sandra the marzipan loving dragon. The name was given to the dragon before they found out what gender it was and P.J. realized after she named it that Sandra was actually a boy, but the name still stuck. This book is probably just right for me as it is funny and nothing too bad in it.The Moon Hare “borrows” a few clothes from P.J. and seems to be able to fit everything in them.It is quite an adventurous book as King Winston (P.J.’s dad) gets accused of stealing something from the castle next door and the King of that castle (King Rupert) has a go at chopping his head off but The Moon Hare isn’t called Magnificent for nothing. He comes to save the day…..I’m sure other people would LOVE to read this book and would enjoy it as much as i did maybe even more….. Indicative Rating: 5/5
