Reviewer Name: Bob Reviewer Age: 6 Review: I hated it – booo! Indicative Rating: 1/5
Reviewer Name: Aamina Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I think this book had lots of different events and included lots of impact. I think all the characters were great and used their brains for different ideas. It surprised me when I looked at the front cover because I had a different design in mind. I don’t usually read these kind of books, I only like comedy books, but I think this book has made me realize that I like these kind of books although it doesn’t beat comedy! Indicative Rating: 4/5
Reviewer Name: Kyle Reviewer Age: 10 Review: It is a fantastic book. I absolutely loved reading the book. It is about a girl called Laura, she has a friend called Tariq. Laura has a dog called Skye. She wants to be a detective when she is older. Indicative Rating: 5/5

Reviewer Name: Raheema Reviewer Age: 10 Review: I thought the book was really good but the ending was a bit weird. I liked the book because it had a lot of action in it. My favourite character was Laura Marlin because she saved her uncle and she was very brave because she blocked the Marine Concern in the volcano. Indicative Rating: 4/5
Reviewer Name: Mariya Reviewer Age: 10 Review: This was a good book. It did lose it in the middle but caught up at the end. Indicative Rating: 3/5
Reviewer Name: Lottie Reviewer Age: 9 Review: It was a good book and I really enjoyed it. It was a hard book to read though so it took me a long time to read. My favourite character was Skye the husky dog. Indicative Rating: 4/5
Reviewer Name: Tamina Reviewer Age: 9 Review: This book is awesome. I liked Laura Marlin because she was brave and she accidentally boards her best friend Tariq and her three-legged husky Skye on the cruise ship. Jimmy wants to be Laura and Tariq’s friend but Laura and Tariq think that Jimmy’s parents are over-protective. When I reached the middle of the story, I got a bit confused. But I liked the part when, Uncle Calvin vanishes and Laura and Tariq are about to be kidnapped by the fearsome ‘Straight A’ gang. I would recommend this book for children over 7 because it would be easier to understand and more exciting. Indicative Rating: 4/5
Reviewer Name: Aliyha Reviewer Age: 10 Review: This book is amazing, the part that I liked was when Laura enters a raffle and really hopes to win. She waits a long long time until one day a man came to her uncles Calvin’s house he knocks on the door but nobody answers. Then Laura came up to the man and said “Who are you looking for” “I am looking a little girl called Laura” Why” “because she has won a raffle””in that case that’s me YES!!!”. The funniest part was when Laura starts to jump up and down and the saddest part was when Laura’s uncle falls down the stairs and breaks his legs. I would recommend this book to all of my friends, it’s fantastic. Lauren St John is an amazing writer. I think that Lauren has called the main character ‘Laura’ because it is similar her name. I would give this book 10/10. Indicative Rating: 5/5

Reviewer Name: Hermione Reviewer Age: 9 Review: It was OK but it wasn’t really an exciting book. There was a girl, who was the main part, Laura Marlin and her little dog Skye, Laura’s best friend is Tariq. They all go on an exciting trip against there enemies. It sounds exciting but when you read it its not that exciting. Indicative Rating: 2.5/5
Reviewer Name: Archie Reviewer Age: 11 Review: Thought I had read the best FBA book until I read this. It beat The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop and the others. It took unexpected twists especially when Laura’s uncle went missing. The characters appealed to my liking. Jimmy was a crazy and fun character who was accident prone and Tariq was brave and heroic. I’d love to have been on the cruise and on the island. The description in the book made the adventure come to life! I thought the culprit would have been the cruise crew but I was fooled! This book gets 11/10 because it was fantastic! Indicative Rating: 5/5

My favourite part of the story was when Tariq threw his milkshake into the pirates’ faces when they were pulling Laura onto their galleon. I would rate the book 6/10. Indicative Rating: 3/5
